Annette Brandanger is a Norwegian dance artist, choreographer and researcher working across performance, education and interdisciplinary practice. She is Artistic Director of DansINN, Regional Centre for Dance in Innlandet, and founder and Artistic Director of Skisser i Bevegelse, the contemporary dance platform she has led since 2009.

Trained at Trinity Laban (1997–2001) and Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2010–2011), with a mentoring certificate from the Norwegian Academy of Music, she is currently undertaking an MA in Dance Research for Professional Practitioners at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance / University of Kent (2025–2027). In 2024 she received NODA's Professional Grant in the Dancer category.

Her practice blends movement with voice and visual art, and she is passionate about bridging education and the arts through inclusive, exploratory formats.

Current collaborators include Kunstbanken Art Center (Hamar), OsloMet (Oslo), and Færderbiennalen (Tjøme). She has performed in works by Katrine Kirsebom, Einy Sparks, Scarlett Perdereau, Jorge Crecis, Willi Dorner and Charlotte Spencer, among others.

Annette views dance as fundamental to human experience — valuing presence, risk, and clarity within movement and the creative process.
